Need help loading a gpx fuile onto a Garmin inreach exploer

    Hello all...

The problem I'm having is that the Garmin Basecamp program does not see my GPS device (when its connected to my computer). My computer recognizes the device so the problem is not with the connection (assumption). I've tried updating the drivers ect but still no joy.

Can someone recommend a third part application that would would allow me to upload a gpx file into a garmin gps device?

Time sensitive request as I'm scheduled to start a 14 day backcountry ski trip tonight...

I have only used the Garmin express website on my PC to update my Inreach, it then syncs via bluetooth to my mobile.

I never tried it using basecamp, but I think that garmin reccomends using express. Have you connected it and synced it before?

I don't think the Basecamp app is compatible with this particular model.

    What i would suggest is:

    Go to the cloud site.
    https://explore.garmin.com/

    Go to the map tab

There you will see an import icon,(top right of the map) from there you should be able to import GPX, KML and KMZ format files.

once you sync the map should show up in your device.

    in theory....
