I put the TerraLux 1000 lumen LED conversion in my 4D Maglight a good few years ago, and its still a powerfull weapon against the dark. And a club as always.

I don't know if you are aware that Maglite came with a spare bulb in the base of the light and not seeing it mentioned in this thread thought I should mention that you may not have to emergency shop to replace the burned out bulb. All of mine have had the spare, maybe yours does too?
I’m pretty sure the one I bought was for 4-6D maglights, but as already mentioned, it seems to have dropped off the face of the earth. In reality it cost nearly as much as a good LED flashlight that uses 18650 rechargeable lithium batteries, so maybe there’s a reason.

i have an Led in my maglite from 2010 - No idea on lumens, but if you want it, i'll give it to you for free.
I don't use the thing much at all nowdays and when i go to i realize the batteries in it are dead anyways.
Ordered an LED bulb for my old 2D mag light last week, worth the $11 , night and day difference
