    Re: Official 2021 Predator Thread

Figure this may be the place to share some Cat pics. Got the invite from a good friend in Feb to tag along on a management cat hunt he was doing. He'd been involved with some M.Ovi studies, in another friends Outfitting concession where M.ovi was hurting the local bighorn herd.

The goal was to find a mature female that was putting pressure on said sheep and take her out of the area, provide financial support to the G/O industry that's been kneecapped with COVID, and get some fresh air with friends.

Watching the hounds do their thing was one of the most enjoyable parts of this trip - I do some work with horses myself and do find great enjoyment working with animals in the field/watching them in their element.

Was interesting to see that progress from "not those ****ing dogs" and a few good hisses for show, to complete boredom. Moved around the back of the tree, laid up against some branches and closed it's eyes (picture #5 above). A far cry from the "highly stressed" narrative that gets pushed by the opposition.

Great pics and nice looking dogs, looks like they may have been run in some cold weather at one time. Had to take a few looks at the last pic have some almost identical to
that pose and look but missing one distinct feature. To bad if you had to take the cat out looks nice and healthy.

Sadly cats and cat hunting are represented poorly by many in both hunting and non-hunting groups, definitely not a good situation for them.
