Has anyone been on the access road to Defot in northwest BC lately? Just wondering what the condition the road/trail is in. Is it drivable with a vehicle? ATV? Are there any washouts? Is it overgrown? Does it connect to the highway or do you have to cross Dease Lake to access it?
Thanks
You have to drive through the Dease river just past the lake to access the road. No bridge. People do it often but I just boated across and hiked around in there. A surprising amount of roads in there.
Scout it out before you cross the river. Depending on the water level you might not be able to go straight across. I know of a few trucks that have been swamped in there.
