Man! This is one of the wickedest things Iv read this season, a huge congratulations is in order!!! I very much appreciate you taking the time to write this out, especially being the caliber of billy he is!! Many folks hunt their whole lives and never find a goat if that age. I’m counting him as 12+!
My last goat, which was nearly identical in size and age to yours, I opted to just take the horns (100% meat hunter back then). Iv kicked myself in the arse ever since for not packing the Cape out for a mount. My fingers are crossed for you that your cape comes back, mount ready!!
Edit*. I need to add..
Goat calling, it works! Iv played with goats on a number of occasions, using their sounds. They are very curious animals for sure. Iv been doing goat’cams for a bunch of years now, one of my favourite parts of the videos I get, are their vocals. When a group of a dozen + goats get together, they can make a pretty cool orchestra

Thanks decker. I remember watching your vids that you shared.
I'm hoping the Cape is in good shape. Willing to accept that I screwed up but fortunately my friend did an excellent job on it so there is the chance.
That’s a great goat!! Good job man. Thanks for sharing.

Wow a great story and excitement.
Goat country is crazy enough and then to top if off in snow. Way to go.
Nothing is like climbing a mountain, and then feeling like you are at the top of the world.
