    Pitt Polder frozen?

Did anyone hunt the Pitt marsh yesterday?

Is it frozen? I was wanting to drag the punt over there on Saturday, but a couple of nights of minus temperatures has me wondering if I could get it in the water.

You could easily be in a situation where you need to be breaking ice depending on how skinny the water is. Ditches in the area are open so I would imagine that any bigger water will be, as well. I hunted today and spent close to 3/4 of an hour breaking ice on a piece of sheet water on a field out in the valley so that we could put some floating dekes out in it besides the ones we had on the surrounding land.

It paid off because we managed to get our limit even though there wasn't much flying,,,,except swans by the dozens and dozens! The birds that did come our way decoyed well.

Hard to say without driving out there to see. Usually 2 to 3 degrees colder than the forecast for Pitt Meadows.
