My condolences to you and your family on the loss of your dad but I can see a big part of him is still here in you, your family and your place. Literally and figuratively. Outstanding writing . Thank you for sharing not only the hunts but what all of us eventually go through and feel.
Lost a good friend under similar circumstance and my father passed while hunting.

One of her favorite things about camping was getting to sleep in. It didn't happen that morning.
