Is Conner Smith buying completed blanks or is he planning bamboo into triangular segments and gluing them?

Conner builds from scratch, meaning he buys bamboo, splits it, planes it and glues it - just as it should be done by any good builder in my opinion. A typical rod costs anywhere from $1200 up - depending on what hardware and fittings the customer wants.
