    Interesting knife-Puma sea hunter

A friend of ours gave this to my twelve year old today. Apparently it was her grandfathers. It needs a good sharpen, but quite the interesting piece.

    Scarce and somewhat valuable knife.
Don't over polish if you care about value.
I think that, in practical terms, it is closer to a kindling chopper, but there is a market for them.
I can see how it might be really interesting to a 12 year old. If he tires of it, he should get a lifetime knife for the value of it.

I was kind of shocked when I googled it. I wasn’t looking for value when I did a search, but the first thing that popped up was an eBay ad for $450 usd.

I don’t think he’ll ever sell it. When I was talking to the lady who gave it to him, she said she had all kinds of offers on it, but didn’t want to sell it because it was her grandpas.

Yeah, I was thinking that was pretty unique. i don't think I have ever seen a knife with such detailed instructions on its various applications. Very nice and interesting piece.

The etched instructions are normal on a 1st generation knife.

Thank goodness it comes with instructions, right on it too, one might not know what to do it.

Nice to have friends like that. Good keep sake.
