    Sent attractant or gimmick

I was having a discussion about attractant device's. I no nothing about them except what I've seen on mericanTV hunting . But that's tv. Has any one had luck using any device's. Like smoke sticks, sent wicks, sent drips ect. What have you used and do they work?

Had lots of deer walk up to and a have good wiff of a scent wick/drip or even better a tarsal gland in the past. Shot my best blacktail to date using a whitetail tarsal from the previous years deer.

Not a bad tactic when you are bowhunting from a treestand and want a deer to stop in a particular spot.

My moose from last year came in to an attractant.

I don't know if scents help that much but if you spill moose pee on your fingers, you can sure notice it when eating a sandwich

They work for sure , if you have ever used trail cams and used apples or other attractant you can see them come in and go to the source of scent. Lots of apples laying on peoples lawns would be a good place for you to offer to clean up for free. For the cameras we always use water softening salts for attractant and it stays a long time does not seem to attract bears like fruit would

Nice. I tried a 20 kg bag of softener up in my hunting grounds last yr. I put it out end of my trip a few hundred yards from my cabin and put a game cam on it. Can't wait to check the cam when I get backbup there next week

I have used scents with success bowhunting blacktails. Never ever mistake your doe in estrus spray for your Otriven nasal spray.

I've use a mixture I picked up a Buckerfields Feed store called COB. It's Corn Oat Barley and molasses. Deer will stand there and munch on it for a long time.
