    Spanish lake deer hunting

Hey guys, my brothers and I are headed to Spanish lake end of October to do some fishing and I would really like to try and do some hunting. I have a bear tag and deer tags and would love to do some hiking. Wonder if anyone has any tips for me on where to start, what to look for and so on. Also if anyone knows what to expect for weather in that area for the end of October. Thanks!

In late October, it could even be snow and ice, especially higher up.

Would not be my first choice for any of those activities other than bear,,,, thick country, not tons of sight lines for deer if they are there at all. Worth a drive into Tassee Lake, a walk into Benny and that lake chain, but again thick bush.

Weather, wet, cold and miserable the same as we have had all summer!!

Just got back after 5 days trying to fill a bull tag. There was only 1 day that the temps approached freezing in the morning, and on that day spotted 4 cows, but no bulls. After that, the daytime temperatures were in the high teens and didn't spot any more game other than a young grizzly sow with a couple of cubs eating berries. I would definitely say it's the heat.
