Not sure if he is open into the fall but Harold moved his fish and chips stand from Wells to Clinton, would be worth a look, it should be set up at the Clinton RV Park behind the school.

Hungry Herbies has great food, burgers and fish and chips are great, and if you want a more dinning out feel go to Bear Claw just over bridge on right going north next to
Gas station, decent rooms also, stayed and ate there many times

17.99 for a pie and it is not even baked yet. We were there a week ago and picked up 3 mini YELLOW watermelons. 5.00 for 3. They are sweeter than the red watermelons. The pies are not made by Horstings. They are made in a factory.

Horsting's used to be good when it was owned by a Horsting. When Ted sold the business it went down hill. Everything was grown, harvested, and prepared in house. Now, not so much. Eat there if you will, but it ain't what it used to be.
I'm usually focused on getting as many miles behind me as quickly as I can, so a quick A&W is good enough for Cache Creek if required.

In Cache Creek, our new stop is Anies. Pretty good pizza, and we always buy a few loaves of multigrain bread. It used to be that the Cariboo Lodge was top shelf, but haven’t stopped for years. It’s sure changed since I hung around there 35 years ago.
