Cache Creek = Hungry Herbies for me as well. I'll also second Canyon Alpine in BB.

Just north of Boston Bar- Alpine Inn....... Cache Creek- A&W, The Subway isn't bad, Chums for Breakfast (Now possibly closed) and Herbies.... Clinton - Cariboo Inn!
I like drinking beer and whiskey, shooting guns, jetboating, love a nice rack and a tight line, I am simply a sophisticated redneck...

    Mannie's (or spelt Manny's?)
Right beside the local watering hole (dive bar) in Cache Creek.

Great Pizza's and the Lamb is awesome.
Manny passed away a couple years ago, but his partner has continued on the tradition and I wouldn't be able to tell the difference.
He used to do the cooking at the Sandman there, but then left to start his own place.
(they try to replicate his lamb at the motel, but it isn't the same, imo)

As for Herbies, I have to disagree.
Costs a lot for what you get and nothing stellar, at least not 2 years ago, after eating there twice.

Now our group enjoys hitting Manny's, and if you get the pizza, you have lunch for the next days hunt.
Either eat in the restaurant or sit next door at the bar.
BUT, dont expect to see much hanging around in there to look at!!!

Anyways, just thought i would give them a recommendation as we eat there all the time now, and everyone is happy.
Wasnt the case before at some of the other locales around there.

Hungry herbies was one of the worst places I ever ate. Last time we drove thru, My wife made the comment about it not being fit to feed the dogs.

I'm no food snob, but I found Hungry Herbies to be gross. November 2019

Interesting, I havent been to Herbies in a while, probably 5-7 years ago. Did it change owners and nose dived? It was great the few times I was there a few years ago.
