Great thread harry - and happy for your buddy! It's been 7 years since I started trying to get a deer, having a friend like you would have certainly helped and I'd probably have one by now!

I was parked at a trailhead last year sleeping in the truck when at about 2am I heard my dog start to growl, I wake to 3 head lamps coming our way and the dogs let out like holy hell! Scared the crap out of a kid, his dad and his grandfather. 3 generations of hunters out together when their truck had crapped out. they were walking the fsr looking for a ride back down to their deer camp, they piled in and we brought them back to camp. Nice guys, and cool to see three generations out hunting together!!

LOL I know eh, I told him we'll just have to do a Euro....ya I've heard that about the majority of elk hunting thus far as well unfortunately....

Excellent whitey there, good on ya Harry. I didnt directly help any hunters this past weekend but got to help out some fine people on the local Thanksgiving food drive.
