Interested in hearing your opinion on screwing devices into trees specifically on crown land. Examples would be metal screw in steps/bolts/spikes
Or tree stand accessories like bow hangers ect.
I'm particularly interested in 100% confirming if this practice is legal on crown land?. Please provide links to any applicable information if possible, thank you!.
Re: Screwing stuff into trees - Opinions? - Legal?
I have no idea on the legalities, but you can do everything you mentioned with climbing sticks and friction mounting. Friction works surprisingly well in most of our trees. I use a couple of ropes and a stick to get up into trees. Learn a few knots and carry some extra rope and you are good to go.

Go to tge Forest and Range Practices Act.
The only identified offense is "intentionally spiking" trees , as was used years ago in the Slocan Valley. The locals were spiking to prevent harvesting
