    My 11 year old son filled the freezer!

    My son 11 year old son and I put a short stalk on a little mulie buck and got within 40 yards. The buck stood up broadside and my son hit him with his Savage .7mm-08. Great shot placement. 1st hunt for him. 1st day of the hunt. On his 11th birthday! Man what a great experience. Also, holy bugs Batman. Wow. Having never hunted this early I have never experienced being covered head to toe in bites. Worth it though to see my son work so hard and be rewarded. Proud dad moment for sure.
