Bridge Lake, BC - Big Kokanee in the Cariboo

I was successful on one of my trips to Bridge Lake this year. On my other trips, the kokanee were harder to find. Here's my video of a great day on Bridge Lake, BC.

Fishing has been tough around here all summer... we are going to hit Canim Lake tomorrow.. we were there last week and the fish were stacked all over the lake but the only hookup was one laker my wife lost right at the boat...
to Oreos it’s buzz bombs and white jigs wherever they are holding.

Canim Lake is on my "to do" list. I've been having decent success on Bridge and Horse lake using buzz bombs and tube jigs.

Any particular structure to look for on Canim Lake?

i just got home from a 10 hour marathon on Canim and it was a bust... tried everything in my arsenal including both tube jigs and buzzbombs... not even a freaking nibble ☹️

there is a hard rocky outcropping in the lower end (100 mile side) that forms a narrowing of the lake that I’m told can be a hot spot... we saw fish all over the lake at every depth from 6 to 300’ and at times the flasher was a solid screen of fish... lots of fish for certain but this was out third trip out and our third time getting skunked this year.

Nice, We fished Bridge lake once. I was quite surprised to have the depth warning go off. Said 3 feet. And I was out in the middle of the lake. Put an oar in the water and yep. Shallow. When we were there, we got nothing and went to Clearwater lake. Got lots there. Good to see you wearing a life jacket. Not many do. Most drownings are men with their zipper down. Guess a few beers and a leak can be fatal.

That's a nice kokanee. Seems like an average size which is very nice.

Is the rock outcropping on the north or south side of the narrows?
