A landslide has blocked a large portion of the Sukunka River in Northern B.C.
The Peace River Regional District says the slide is upstream of the 6-Mile bridge on Highway 29, south of Chetwynd..
Officials note at this time there is no risk to infrastructure or property.
"Significant water backup is occurring as well as debris accumulation. Please be advised not to swim downstream of the blockage, or launch boats into the area."

There was another good slide on the Windfall Lake FSR about a month ago, took out the bridge at Km 9. Supposedly going to fixed up end of September.
Just gotta wonder when the South Taylor hill is going to take out the highway.....tick tock......
