Another option for a spike camp would be a durston tent. You can setup the fly only. I don’t know how much the it would weigh, maybe 1.4 lbs. for a 2 person.

Hmm have a silfly.lightweight tarp..don't think I've used it except to cover packs in camp.
What I DO use is SILDOME..Pretty much a silfly. With one segmented fibrepole.forms a hoop that gives an adjustable widts shelter
Moose sheep and even extreme light bivwack.works awesome fast,easy for glossing or getting out of the elements or overnight.

i believe we use a 8x10 FR siltarp while sheep hunting. and yes definitely have slept under it a night or 2 lmao. id recommend a fire ******ant one, we had some pretty rocking fires under it and have yet to melt a hole in it.

In the market for a tarp myself ,
a bit more pricey , but versatile. Seek outside DST. This is the route I’m going. Throw in a 15oz bug Bivy If needed, now I can sleep with the elk and not be weighed down.
