We always used slices of raw carrot as a dog trainer once told me that a lot of treats are quite high in fat and they can add up during training sessions. All of our labs loved raw carrot.
Try to be the person your dog thinks you are.

When I think of humanizing a dog I'm thinking of dogs being dressed up, sitting at a table to eat, etc. My griff watches the tv all the time when WILD TV is on because she likes to watch deer, elk, or moose, bear, flying upland or waterfowl, etc. but I've had nothing to do with that human past time. Haha[/QUOTE]

That's exactly what I meant. My DIL thinks her dog is a person. Plays dress up with him etc.

My dog loves cats! Doesn't matter if they're fried, barbecued, baked,,,,, even raw. This seems to be the only place the felines are safe around my place:

My dog also likes cats. Usually one a day.
