That is a great way to start her new hobby, with some fine trout in beautiful scenery.
Moving up to Bone fish and Permit will require some getting used to the weight of the fly rod and reel. Also casting practice is important so take advantage of days both good and bad on dry land to practice casting. Wind is the one of the most frustrating things that flyfishers face when they have not practiced casting into the windy conditions. Even beach fishing for Salmon many flyfishers will pass on a days fishing because it is too windy. Practice casting and chase those tropical dreams.
That's awesome - congrats to her. Our rivers up here in the Peace are all still blown out from all the rain making it hard to fish in my favourite spots.

Hey Steve are you in the annual Fish derby at Sheridan...Must be nice to enjoy the lake without all the forest fire smoke. I imagine your getting the rain like us. So far the mosquitoes arent to bad here just late evening when im enjoying a Cold Beer they want to join the party..Good Luck
