    Re: Hot tent ideas

Before I bought my 10x12 wall tent, I looked at making a hot tent from one of those pop up ice fishing sheters.

But once I factored in leaving enough space for the stove, 2 cots and gear I was back to needing at least a 10x10 wall tent.

Arctic Oven tents would work perfect but they are very pricey.

I figure the best lightweight cost effective alternative to a wall tent for 2 cots and stove would be a Tepee style tent.

This, https://reliabletent.com/product/yellowstone-tent/ easy to put up , packs small, all hardware included.

We have the Yellowstone and the Glacier model. Way easier to deal with than a wall tent, we had 2 walltents over the years and these are much better.
We can only be kept in the cages we do not see. @

I have this set up, and it is a game changer. Easily back packable.

i have one of these I used when horseback hunting.. can be used with a stove and while not as roomy as a wall tent they are much lighter and easier to pack..

I run a Seek Outside Cimmarron for two guys and a Redcliffe for 3. For a stove I am now using a 3w stove. I have also used and just sold a Kifaru 6 man tipi.
The pyramid tents are much faster to set up than a tipi and if you run liners in them condensation is not an issue.

I have sold my wall tent and use these shelters for everything except sheep hunting. Hilleberg Niak for that purpose.
