I have had everything from a Barnet Bay Sneakbox, 16’ canoe, various sized aluminum boats and inflatables and for versatility a canoe takes the prize while comfort goes to the aluminum.

if your interested I have a 14’ Y stern canoe, fish, hunt, play and do it more comfortably than a kayak and easily toss it on the roof of your car/SUV and you have the added bonus of using a small outboard or trolling motor.

My moms boyfriend has this one specifically so I can speak to this one exactly. He Carrys it on his sail boat to use to get to and from shore. Him and my mom have used it to kayak down rivers with no issues. He is a big man, 6'6"-6'8" 250lbs and can walk down the middle of the kayak, sit on the edge. And when he gets to shore he will bring it up on to the beach and sit on it ( much comfier than a hard plastic kayak)
He did alot of research before purchasing it, and it's been working great for him. Maybe one of the other models would suit you better

I picked up a Nucanoe Frontier 12 not long ago. Have yet to take it out on the water thus far.

Paddle only, maybe a SOAR inflatable , soar1.com/
Or an inflatable with future jet outboard possibilities, Solar tunnel inflatable by Jetech

Both get good reviews on the Alaska Outdoors Directory forums

Add the Alpaca Forager to the goodie list

Tyler-brown, I've been eyeing that model for sure. I've seen videos of people using those in pretty rough conditions and also duck hunting.
