I put in the miles today. Guessing I only hiked 3-5 miles but they weren't easy miles. I could probably find an easier place to hunt but I'm concentrating on my 'backyard'. I'm getting to know the area better and I'm enjoying making it 'mine'. I know where the moose are consistently, I saw a mulie doe about to pop, and I have a spot where I saw a whitetail. For about 20 miles of FSR I know where most of the rocks and potholes are. I'm not even counting the eagles, bunnies, and other fun stuff.

I saw scat, mowed grass, and prints. I just got a predator call in the mail today. Tomorrow is my last day for a while so I'm trying to decide where to sit and try out the call. The flat area where I saw the prints - or the hilly area where I saw the scat and mowed grass...? Decisions decisions.

It's great reading everyone's success stories! Keep them coming!
