Excellent pics from Pitt Waterfowlers Wood Duck project

I checked my Wood Duck nestboxes friday and found a box with one hen inside with a few babies visible. They always leave the box the next morning so we staked out the box with our cameras from across the slough and got some great images!

Great pics and thank you for your work.

Will the woodies do two broods in the Polder? I've read that they can and are the only duck that will, but I'm thinking that was in the southern US.

I think they will nest twice if the first nesting is unsuccessful.
Usually we get nests occupied in April so there’s lots of time to nest again. In the Polder, I’ve seen new boxes get occupied as late as the last week of May.
This year nesting started late, early to mid-May. Doubt we had second nestings this year.
