    150lbs on the meat hook, after trimming 15lbs of fat.

    It's a lovely spot, seen bears there every spring, but this was the first worth shooting.

    As soon as it started rolling all I pictured was it falling into the water, which was fast and deep enough recovery would be...problematic. Fortunately I nailed him good with my 450 marlin, gave up the ghost without much fuss.

    Not too bad at all! I was curious about the fat amount, so thanks for sharing that. (And yes, as a matter of fact I do I feel like a wierdo with my bear fat fixation. Best stuff for cooking or leather I've ever run across!)
