    Nice job . thanks for sharing your story. Special to get a turkey with your son . this is a later reply to your post so I hope you read it. One question if you don't mind answering. before I ask I have taken three turkeys with a bow so pretty familiar with their habits. Were you on private land or public is my question. Seems very difficult to get on private and if you did , great stuff.

    We hunt both. Almost always get told no on private, every once in a while a yes catches us by surprise.
    I don’t find the private land birds any easier to hunt - in some cases harder.
    I prefer public land as it just removes an extra layer rules to deal with generally.
    Twist and pull.
