    Vanderhoof goose hunting

    Ok people. I want all the info the good , bad and ugly. Yes I know there are geese there I’ve seen them. Yes I know they get hunted I want any and all info on the current state of affairs. Would love to talk to some locals or someone that has hunted guided. Please feel free to PM me no bit of information too small. Thank you.

    I recall a thread in 2004 about this topic.

    I always thought it was sewed up by farmers leasing to GO so I never pursued it.

    Got no info to offer but thinking of getting up there this fall. Used to go for moose and noted those glorious farm fields. Guided may be the only option, for a first trip.

    It’s pretty tough as like people have said the guide outfitters pretty much have all the good fields leased up. Even the local boys have given up on trying to hunt them with the lack of huntable places available. Talk with Todd Bartell he could fill you in.

    Hunted with wing and trout back when chad was owner. Had some good shoots on cacklers but as said outfitters have area all sewn up. Good luck
