    Raccoon and Skunk

The season in Region 2 is Sep 15 to March 31.

    There is No Bag Limit.

Caught one in a HavAHart trap the other night and released it.
With NBL and. a limited season what is a guy supposed to do?

Just strikes me as odd . . . similar to Coyotes.

They are huntable with out a tag and there is NBL.

Trapped one over 30 years ago to protect chickens and got a permit from the CO to keep and tan the pelt.

This one was caught when the target was a feral cat . . .

A trapper's licence might be required if the intent was to market the hide.

The question was a "why" is the season as it is. Probably protection of the young if a mother were removed but it did seem odd being grouped with skunks.

Not sure they are being 'grouped' at all, just similar seasons
There are separate rules for hunting and trapping and pest control by landowners
