Pardon my ignorance...but I just don't see how pigs could make a winter out in places like 100 mile or the peace area, wouldn't they freeze to death with that short fur

Seen a big black one about 600+ lbs in the Peace middle of the bush miles from any farms in the early spring rooting around. Thought it was bear at first it was so big. No issue whatsoever surviving the cold winters.

We don't need these swine here to destroy farmland. Poor farmers can't get a break with a few good years in a row. Plug these pigs soon as you see them. Sure, fresh wild pork would be nice to bring home but think of the bigger picture and the damage they cause.

I sure would like the chance to hunt hogs but not at the cost to farmers.

you got that right. Saw first hand the damage they do in New Zealand. One farm we stayed on a helicopter came in and gunned down 40 one day. They were still absolutely everywhere. Looked like a bulldozer had ripped up the landscape.

I’d become a hog specialist if they were here in numbers. Well, hogs and turkeys. It would be interesting to see how the offering up of feral pigs would move the wolf predation away from native species.
If we’re not supposed to eat animals, how come they’re made out of meat?

I saw my first 2 feral pigs this past season. They were hanging out amongst a group of wild turkeys. Not in a shooting spot but not much around to say they weren't anything else but that.

Hmmm winter survival aparantly is not an issue...make use of piled logs that will be burned the trails I followed they love the mud cat tails around small ponds.
