    Propane freezer?

Hey everyone, does anyone use propane freezers for early season hunting and or camping? Looking at the unique 2.2 cubic foot freezer fridge. It also runs on12/120v. Should be able to fit a deboned deer in a 2.2 freezer. It uses .7lbs per day so a 20lb tank will run almost a month. Anyone have one or use anything similar?

Unique makes very good products. I have a propane fridge and stove in my cabin. You won't go wrong with that brand.

I have an edge star 120/12v fridge/freezer I picked up a few years ago. With a crappy tire agm deep cycle I can run it for 3 days if I keep it in the shade. I think if I added 200 watts of some panels it would run almost indefinitely.

The technology for propane fridges has been around for a very long time, likely as far back as the first fridges. The early ones used kerosene. The problem RV fridges usually have is with their control boards and uneven pooling of their refrigerate . I had a propane fridge in my cabin that would freeze stuff. From the looks of it, it was from the '30s.

    Re: Propane freezer?

We have a propane fridge freezer in our RV trailer. Works great and must be kept on level ground to work. We had it in our driveway which has a slight inline and did not work. Don't know the angle. 2.2 cubic feet is not very big. only slightly bigger than 1 foot by 1foot by 2 feet. I suspect our RV has a bigger freezer than that.
