With deep non-compacted snow, they will travel plowed roads, packed sled trails and frozen rivers.

Should narrow things down a bit at the moment

I wave my fist at them, really frightens them!

The elk population in Colorado, a state less than half the size of BC, is somewhere around 280,000 elk. That's roughly 7 times as many as in B.C. There can be little doubt that one jurisdiction does a better job of managing elk herds than the other. Here, in the east Kootenay, populations have decreased by over 50%; not because of wolves. GD

Many years ago I was surrounded by a pack of wolves all howling. That made my hair stand up . Another time I shot one in a pack of about ten and the rest went out of sight and started to howl.

Was out 2 times this weekend - giving the new call a try - learned I could call in crows and eagles like the best of them, but no luck on the dogs...yet!
Tick tock, tick tock...waiting for hunting season...

You know the thing most of my non resident hunters say is "where are all the wolf hunters? If this was Idaho, or Wyoming we would see a few hunters everyday if not dozens of hunters"
In my opinion I think resident hunters need to do more and not just rely on government to do the job. Every wolf helps.
