While it is Damn Tuff out there, I still had a ton of fun this hunting season. I hope the Good Ol' Days will return before I'm too old to pound up and down these mountains, but until then, I need to accept and appreciate what I currently now have. Gone are the days of '200 inches or bust' but if I can find a buck like this one every few years, I'll be happy.

Nice buck. What type of tree gives the bucks in your area the bronze coloured antlers?

I've always thought that colour comes from alder but I've never actually tested out that theory. They beat a lot of alder, birch, aspen, cedar, fir, balsam, and pine in this country.

Great buck, nice to see other people using a safari sling, excellent slings for hunting timber
