Just so you are aware that an electric fence does not make you invincible.

No, it doesn't, but it sure beats nothing, but yes, people should still be aware of their surroundings at all times, even with protection.

Still, its a great thread and some great info!

I've got a solar powered one. I think it's good for 150 miles and still have bears come thru the cow pasture. It keeps the cows in though. Works real good for keeping the dogs out of the garden and worked exceptionally well when the barn cat touched it with the bald spot under its tail. Instant 4x4 lock up and gone. Lol

We have used one(or similar) for years as a horse coral when hunting on horseback, Never lost a horse, never had an "intruder". Still sleep with the "Holy Crap Canon" though

I always keep my 12 gauge defender loaded up at all times when in my camp ,,I keep bear spray close by at all times as for a bear banger ,air horn I take
the 12 gauge loaded up into my tent as for a powerful mounting light to go onto my barrel end aware of my surrounds as well,,people that don't take
any precautions there the ones that will eventually get mauled or killed from a bear..
