    rattled in mule deer doe

yesterday morning was out hunting for whitetails and set up and let out a light rattle.Below me in the timber i could hear something move waited about 5 minutes let out another rattle and mulie doe came out of the timber and straight towards me stopped about 15 yards away and started bleating this went on for about 5 minutes then walked away.Is it common for a doe to respond to rattling or was it just one of the cool things you see out hunting.

Have you ever been in or seen a fight before? Ever notice the crowd around? Everyone likes watching a fight

Very curious animal . It happens often . Pretty cool to see and watch how they react to it. Sounds like maybe she hasnt been bred yet and is looking for a stud to breed her. You just never know . Neat encounter .

I’ve rattled in more muley does than anything else. They usually come in pretty hard.

    Wish whitetails were that aggressive

no experience with rattling for mule deer only blacktail.

in my 3 years of rattling for BT, i have only ever rattled in bucks. Never a doe. The bucks don't come charging in either. They will often just get close enough to watch you and stand there.
