Just make sure you program the frequency as "narrow"

Some radios are not even 'narrow' capable.

I do find the RR's and LD's handier than the old system, especially when going into different areas of the province. That said, many companies I work for still keep their traditional 'wide' frequencies to work on, which can pose issues when you need to pass through a worksite.
