    6.5 Creedmoor ,6.5x 55 swede ,260 Remington

I admit a liking for the venerable 6.5x55 Swede ,they just get the job done very efficiently with little fanfare. Shot a lot of deer with it, low recoil and if I do my job,it does its very handily.Lately there’s been some press for the newest Offering - the 65 Creedmoor and before that the 260 Remington.Tradeex generally has a good supply of very fine rifles at a fraction of new rifle costs allowing new shooters to go hunting without breaking the budget and Czech ammunition is readily available for under $30 a box.Apart from owning the latest whiz bang, what if any advantage do either of these cartridges have over my 120 year old swede? I know campfire arguments come close to blows over ‘favourite’ deer rifles but it seems to me some of these old cartridges have earned their right to stay in production while many others have come on with great fanfare and then disappeared off the shelf.
