Grizzlies Near Kelowna

Wow I never realized they were so close up pistol. I live not far away off old Vernon rd.

North of Kelowna, Malakwa resident has identified 12 different grizzlies in his yard this year.

Years ago fly fish lake # 1 had a grizz harassing anglers hiking in
Brunette road had a family of grizz
Geen lakes trails, had some there while working in the area
Timber cruising up Mugford, had one protecting his fresh moose kill chase us outta there, very close encounter
Mission ridge, many encounters/sign
Hilda same as above, had one chase the truck
Buck Hill, tracks on top of ours from the morning
Home/Gunnar, see them all the time
Kettle, same as above
Big dog, same as above
Look at the orthos, all these areas are the same connected tract of wilderness without a major hwy intersecting it. Nothing to be surprised of or concerned about, just naturally occurring animals in their traditional territory. Be aware and respect them while out in the area

Jeezuz is only time I’ve seen that many bears on tcams in one spot was on oats. He must have something bringing them in

Wow I knew there were grizzlies in the high country surrounding Kelowna. Never realized their were that many though.
