Was only able to watch the first 12 min at this time, but if what he is accurately depicting the nature of the proposed measures (some extra hand gun measures and banning rifles designed for assault), it doesn't impact me much. Truthfully I don't understand the allure of handguns and assault rifles anyway.

ever heard of the term divide and conquer? You’re a perfect example.

here’s a little tidbit for you, hunters don’t mean shit to the gun and ammo market. Maybe the camo and overpriced accessory market but not the gun or ammo, what this means is if they ban the guns competition shooters and target shooters use (hand guns. Semi auto rifles and semi auto shotguns) that’s the lions share of the profitable market for gun makers. When’s the last time you as a hunter have bought 5000 rounds or sat in your basement for hours a day reloading rounds just to go shoot at targets all weekend long or compete in a competition? I bet more than likely after your gun is sighted in you MIGHT buy a box of ammo a year, the gun your using can harvest many animals so it’s good for decades and you certainly aren’t going to be replacing your scope every time a new generation comes out with a slight upgrade.. it makes no difference to your hunting, ever shot out a barrel hunting and need to replace it ? Have you put an aftermarket trigger into your hunting rifle ? How many bundles of targets do you buy a year as a hunter ?

and the real gospel here, if you think ANY locally owned gun or hunting store is staying open after they lose target and competition shooter customers you’re drinking the juice, and we all know what happens to price and quality when only a few large mega corporations own the entirety of a market, we already get a taste of it with Bass pro (cabelas)

once that gravy train sails you will see less availability in everything gun related including hunting, companies are going to divert money to other more profitable revenue streams, little companies will close up shop and prices for what is still available will sky rocket.

but you keep telling yourself that you don’t understand the allure and it doesn’t effect you.

it amazes me how narrow minded and short sighted people are, and all this is aside from the beyond obvious fact that once they banned the aforementioned guns they will be coming for the rest of them. READ divide and conquer... we won’t have the tens if not hundreds of thousands of sport and competition shooters to advocate for us any longer and it’ll be like taking candy from a baby to completely disarm the population.

please put a little more thought into things like this that effect everyone negatively, I know ignorance is bliss and it’s easy to pretend it won’t effect you, but it will.

we all need to stick together no matter if you like shooting single shot .22 or collect mil surp, together we are a large number of voters, divided we mean nothing to the government. A gun is a gun is a gun and they won’t be happy with just these they have already shown that, look at the first list of prohibs, they took away all the scary movie guns that most people couldn’t even afford anyways, but that was the first straw on the camels back, then restricting certain weapons ? Again dividing the numbers. See the pattern?

History is a great teacher. This quote is of a more dire subject matter, but your indifference is the same folly.

"First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out— because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me."

    Martin Niemöller
Christopher Hitchens: "What can be asserted without evidence can also be dismissed without evidence."
Jonathan Swift: “It is useless to attempt to reason a man out of a thing he was never reasoned into.”

Soon they will come after ur semi auto shotgun that u may use for duck hunting. It won't stop at hand guns. And there is no such thing as assault rifles. Those are already banned. Not sure if u r trolling but just thought I mention that.

Also, lots of people use hand guns and ARs for competitive shooting. They are legal and responsible owners. Why should they have to give it up ?
