    Calling for multiple species

Have any of had multiple species tags to fill on a hunting trip? Do you focus on 1 species per day when it comes to calling? Has anyone ever had success bugling for elk and then deciding to do moose grunts in the exact same spot?

I'm going out with a moose LEH to fill and my friend wants to hunt deer. Just wondering if we should separate to different areas and do our own calls or if we should target 1 species per day with our calls.

    Thanks again.

I know myself I’ve seen plenty of deer while calling for elk or moose, moose dont smell like meat eaters and a deer has never been shot at by one so I’d say your fine
if they hear you moving but you sound like another animal they tend to be a lot more comfortable imo

You definitely hunt for moose until you get one! No ifs or buts. Your buddy should be able to hunt deer if that's what he wants. If he gets a deer and you drop your moose, tell him he can eat deer and YOU'LL EAT MOOSE!
