Last year they had these at Cabela's

    https://www.cabelas.ca/product/10715...t-action-rifle

Which I guess is basically a Strata without the set trigger.. my buddy picked one up in .308.. quite a nice rifle

Trigger on Tikka way nicer, coated stainless on Tikka vs. coated steel on Browning, the larger bolt knob on the Tikka is a bonus. Both guns have crappy plastic stocks.
Just checked the 30-06 out @ Reliable. It's not stainless. That was misinformation from another site. Also weighed more on the scale @ Reliable than the plain stainless tikka t3X.

    Good Morning Don!
Thank you for your interest in the Tikka family of firearms.
The special make-up Strata/Cerakote is a great customization of the Tikka T3x platform.
Specific to your request, the Cerakote is applied to a stainless steel.
Trust this helps to clarify the matter.
Again, thank you for your inquiry.
    Sincerely,

This is the email I got direct from Tikka in Finland

T3x Strata (as well as all other cerakoted Tikkas) are made out of stainless steel.

My Strata pounded 5 rounds under half inch today with my new ADG brass, 150 ttsx and 64gr h4831sc, fed 215m primer.

I'm trying to find a direct email address for Tikka to ask if the gun is stainless or steel coated in cerakote. I went down to Reliable guns in Vancouver and they were pretty adamant it is NOT stainless. Reliable has apparently reached out to Tikka twice to try and confirm if it's stainless with 0 replies from the company

See post 14 and 15, both Stoeger and Tikka have confirmed via email its stainless. Look at the barrel stub end in the action, it's not blued steel it raw stainless.

Thanks! Pretty interesting that Reliable was so ademant on it not being stainless steel. Funny thing is we weighed it at the shop and it was heavier than the regular tikka t3x
