I've always been interested in long range shooting and am slowly getting there. We all know that gravity and wind affects where our bullet is going to land. When do you think a weather meter(like a kestrel) would be best. After 100y 200y 300y etc? I'm trying to plan an elk hunt(never been on one) and am wondering if I should pick one up before I go? I know more kit is good but more weight is bad. Do you guys have one or do you close your eyes and feel the wind on your face and just know? I've done a lot of reading and watching on this but would like to hear from the hunters.

Thanks
