A friend of mine has a Bull Moose tag in 718, and has graciously asked me to go with him. I know immature's are open, but so are Elk. Would love to look for some in this area, has anyone hunted Elk in 718? are they around? any info would be greatly appreciated.

you only go around once
Pretty scarce in that region but they are there. I have spent lots of time in 7-18 and only ever saw one elk. A bull way up the walker road

As swampthing said, pretty scarce. I’ve seen a few cows feeding in avalanche slides while spring bear hunting.
