Taking a day off. Physically mentally tired after so many early days and miles hiked..

Reset day.. laundry (smelly swamp pants and under clothing) ... gotta skin out my deer and moose heads so i can do euro mounts.. sharpen knives, give the x bow a good clean and lubrication..maybe watch some football have a beer or 2 and have an afternoon nap

Was not a bad wait.. i had changed close and was in the truck getting thawed out, listening to sirius and surfing the net.. i knew going in by myself was not the right thing to do..

Nothing to report today saw a few elk, small bull. Still not bugling in the lowlands

Looking back this was the stupidest stalk i have ever tried that turned out so good.. still shaking my head at myself for what happened.. who is dumb enuff to wade up to their balls for 150 yards to get a bow shot at a bull??
I am the only idiot i know that would do it

Costly day today.. took a frick of a tumble down a rock chute while trying to get to some elk.. landed flat on my back and pack (with spotting scope in pack).. broke the scope in half.. 10 + year old buschnell.. in hunt mode so went and bought a vortex 20 to 60 angle view
