Sorry guys.. i have been going out after work with zero blood drawn and have been remiss in posting..

On the thanksgiving weekend Saturday helped a member of my leh group pack out a 41" bull moose that he took with his bow (2 tags filled for 4 applicants) and then Sunday helped a neighbour (and part of our leh group) pack out his 6 point elk .. that night i filled my doe tag.. 120 yard shot, straight on, right thru the right eyeball.. used my dads old 303 brit.. for old times sake.. no tracking needed..

No turkeys seen on crown land..

Still one day left for elk but not too hopeful..

After this i will be taking rookies and old timers out so they can fill their tags

I decided to go retro.. my Dad is 84, still kicking, but has give up on hunting.. thought it would be nice to take out his old smoke pole that he gave me ... for old times sake.. the old gal still kills

Well, i think my season is almost a wrap.. an hour til dark.. doubt i will find a 6 by then.

It has been a blast.. 5pt whitey, doe and bull moose with my x bow.. plus in on sherpa duty for a moose and 2 elk..

Time to relax and catch up on home chores.. wife blew the head gasket in her 4 runner this summer, so thats a priority and then get to boiling some skulls for clients.. 3 wt bucks, 2 elk, a bear and other critters..


Have to admit, its been great.. i have seen more elk, and bulls, this year compared to many in the past.. maybe not 6's, but still a shat load of fun getting in close with a 5 or less..
