Elk Bugling Activity Report

Elk all around me today. No bugles

Well a day of hunting the trench and no noise. May need to get back up in them grizzly chutes...

5 bulls bugling yesterday after 7:30pm in 2 different locations. One was a huge herd bull, through binos, but too far away to get to him and he had lots of cows. 1 bull came in silent that looked to be 6x6 and another we called right to the truck in darkness with headlights on! One small bull had a completely broken off antler. Two others were farther off and not really interested in coming closer.

Lots of talk but nothing too aggressive. This is in non - huntable area in region 6. These elk can only be hunted on private land LEH. But still fun practicing with them and watching the rut progress.

We have five bulls from 7 point to spike all on same hill and not one bugling. Took 5 point two days ago but very little reaction to any calling. Really want the 7 point in archery but only a couple of days left.

Yes, the Elk are buggling, 4 days in a row we have had bulls going.

Listened to 2 bulls scream at each other 2 nights ago but watched 2 bulls play fight lastnight. The bulls that were bugling were bigger bulls and they had 40 cows between them.

No bugling where i was all morning.. saw elk at 35 yards but no vocals
