My old 270 has done some pretty good things with the 140gr Hornady Interloc. Prolly the best non premium, premium bullet on the market still.

The .277 TTSX 110 and 130 grainers are murder on game and aren't afraid of shoulders at all. Were I to start carrying my 270 again, that's what I'd be using.

Oh ya, kindly disregard my last post, you need at least a 300 Short Mag to even think about hunting a moose or elk.

My 270WSM likes 140 gr accubonds best. Choose a premium bullet (Partition, Barnes TTX, Accubond etc.) at a weight your rifle like's best

It would be on my short list too. Also Barnes VorTx 129gr LRX and Federal/Winchester/Nosler 140gr Accubonds

I expected several of the can’t use a .270 for moose comments haha. I’ve had a 300wsm for years but chose to go with the .270 these days. Came with a box of Browning 145gr but not sure the the Bullet type. Says for big game expansion. Not sure this ammo has been around all that long for any reviews?? Thanks for all the input!

It took my first bull moose in 2011 with factory 140gr accubond Federal Premium.
Liquified both lungs and passed through.
If it cant be done with one shot, it shouldn't be done.

    Re: Factory .270 moose cartridge

I have two 270's a M700 and a M77....both shoot Federal Blue Box 150's very good and seem to have no problem in killing moose. My handloads that work good in both rifles is 58grs of H4831sc and 140 Partitions

When I do use a 270, if I'm not using the handloads then its the Blue Box 150's on moose....

    Your mileage may vary!

I've used the 150gr RN Corelokt and 130gr Fusion successfully. If the rifle. Shoots the 150gr Fusion well then use it.
