Thumbs up Re: Five Nations Fishery Injunction

    Injunction Denied:

The boats of five Nuu-chah-nulth nations won’t be able to catch many more of the suuhaa (Chinook Salmon) currently passing through their territorial waters, after Federal Court dismissed an application to reverse a decision made earlier this summer by Fisheries and Oceans Canada.

    ^^^^What do they Expect????
They are balling that there is no Salmon like back in their Ancestral Days!
(Hell, the rest of us non FN are not happy with the lack of Salmon either).

So now they have been declined to catch their "regular 50,0000" and have been allocated only 7,000, and now they are all pissy!
Thought they wanted the salmon runs to be like days of old?????
That means they have to make major concessions at a time like this also!
Glad the courts got it right.
But they will more than likely "break the ruling" and catch whatever, and not get charged.

    Speaking about this whole thing.
Was just down in Birch Bay this past week.

Tons of Freshly caught King Salmon and Sockeye being sold all over.
Folks walking out with 10 to 20 salmon each.
    Meanwhile, back at home...……………………….?????
