Replaced my mini. Worth the upgrade to be able to drop 1 piece of equipment and combine gps with communication. Full bars, inside messages send quickly. Worked flawlessly on my last hunt.

Has anyone tried using one in cold weather? Any updates from the guys who bought one?
At -25 my I-phone is only good for a quick text before it freezes up, so I was just wondering if the Garmin 66i unit lasted a bit in cold temps.
Been using mine for 6 weeks now or so, maybe a bit more?
I’ve hunted about 20 days in that time, ranging from +10 to -12 so nothing severely cold, but I’ll say I’m very impressed with battery life currently though I find it charges a bit slow ?
great device, worth the money if you aren’t limited by a strict budget and hell the peace of mind of SOS is worth its weight in gold.
