    We use the 3000 at work. We’ve bent the rope guide a few times, fiddled around with it. I wish we had the bigger one.

    same here
    the Lewis has enough jam to get a vehicle out of a bad spot
    It is heavy and it does have limited cable length. Have winched 5 moose out with it. Much easier than a packboard

    And no loss of power due to a wet or muddy rope, where moose often die. The endless cable of the capstan style is attractive though.

    I have the PCW5000. I’ve pulled a couple jet boats off of sand/gravel bars with it. Also one 6 point elk out of a cut block and up to a landing. They work great and I’d never get rid of mine.
